Connecting Generations Ancestral Research has a particular interest
in the Visitations of the Heralds from the 16th and 17th C.
Many people today are interested to know, or to confirm,
whether their ancestor or ancestors are in the visitation records.
The Visitation Records – carried out by Royal Commission to
ensure that Armorial devices (Coats of Arms) were being lawfully used – contain
a great deal of genealogical information of inestimable value and the records
themselves cover a wider swathe of English society than many people assume.
Connecting Generations Ancestral Research is also able to
offer advice on Armorial identification (Heraldry) and, where appropriate, to
advise you on steps to be taken to consult the College of Arms (for those of
English, Welsh and Northern Irish descent) or the Court of the Lord Lyon (for
those of Scottish descent).
