Connecting Generations Ancestral Research is a UK wide genealogy research service based in London.
Founded by Giles Clifton, a professional genealogist who is an Associate Member of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives), a Member of APG (Association of Professional Genealogists), and a Member of the Society of Genealogists, Connecting Generations Ancestral Research undertakes all types of research.
A trained historian, Giles was educated at Sedbergh School, Yorkshire and gained an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in History from the University of Nottingham.
After his undergraduate degree Giles went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law of England & Wales (now the University of Law), before completing the Bar Vocational Course at Northumbria University and being Called to the Bar of England & Wales.
Giles has worked as a Research Assistant at the College of Arms, London for a number of heralds. The College of Arms is the official repository of the coats of arms and pedigrees of English, Welsh, Northern Irish and Commonwealth families.
Giles is a Barrister of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and a Freeman of the City of London.
